[Knock it Off!] Devlog #002 - More Items! LVL 2!
Its been a week! After i had the general Idea working in the first week, i used this week to work on more items, more Backgrounds for new levels and started to change the current implementation from a hardcoded working game, into something that is easily changed.
Right now the Gameplay is pretty stale, since the cat only drops glasses, that either give you points or reduce your health, when you let them drop. I have added a rare pink glass, that gives more points! The balancing of the points and health system is something, that is determined in the playtesting phase, so i do not worry about it too much yet.
I have designed a dumbbell. The thought behind the dumbbell is, an item, that you cannot catch and if you try to, destroys all glasses, you are currently holding. It makes no damage though.
I also designed a bomb as the opposite item to the dumbbell. It hurts your hp, but leaves your glasses intact.
The background for the second level is also done, but not animated yet.
And at last, the Code i wrote in the first week, was very not expendable and hardcoded many things. since i want to add many items and do not want to change every function everytime, i add an item, i started to rewrite code to make it more managable.
